Nowadays, China is facing a most grave problem that per capita green area fails to meet the standard set by the United Nations. Policies for Constructing Forest Cities

Currently, Chinese average green area is only 13.7m², less than 1/4 of the UN’s standard. In order to address the problem, China has paid high attention to the construction of forest cities in recent years by enlarging investment and introducing policies to improve the living conditions of urban and rural living areas.

According to statistics, over 300 cities have joined in the forest cities construction, 165 of which have been awarded the title of National Forest City. A total of 22 provinces have developed forest city clusters, and 18 provinces have developed provincial forest cities. A batch of forest counties, forest towns and forest villages demonstration are formed.

By the year of 2020, it is expected to develop a forest city development pattern with distinct features in line with national conditions. 6 national forest city groups would be formed, and 200 forest cites would be constructed.

The Boom of Forest Tourism

Experts forecast that in the first two decades of the 21st century, tourists to forests would increase by double digit, and 50% of the global tourists would make a tour to forests. It can be seen that forest tourism is facing a promising future.

Office of China National Forest Park Management said that by 2020, forest tourism sites in China will increase to 8,000, and forest tourism system of natural reservations, wetland parks, forest botanical gardens, hunting grounds, etc. will be formed.

With the number of forest tourists reaching 1.4 billion and total value expecting to reach 800 billion yuan by the year of 2020, China put priority to the development of forestry construction, which will certainly pull the demand of garden machinery.
